E. Thomas Hastings, DMD
Meet Dr. Hastings
I cannot imagine doing anything other than dentistry, especially with the technology and materials available today. I never tire of going to the office and seeing my patients. I love what I do. I became a dentist because my childhood experience with dentistry was so positive. There is no better time than today to be in dentistry, not only because of the fantastic materials and techniques available today, but because of the amazing people I get to meet.
I have been a dentist for over 25 years and employ the very best hygienists, assistants and support staff. My entire staff is extremely well-trained and are all compassionate people, all experts who work together on behalf of our patients. This has made us one of the most trusted dental care teams in the Monadnock region.
I attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. I received awards for restorative dentistry. Prior to dental school I graduated from the University of New Hampshire.
Continuing education is very important to me and keeps me up-to date with the most current materials, techniques and procedures. I espeically enjoy advanced education courses in computer-aided dentistry and implant dentistry. I also mentor with CEREC® Doctors, a group of dentists committed to promoting CAD/CAM dentistry.
Outside the Office
I was born in Keene, just as my parents were and grew up just a few minutes down the road in Newport, N.H. I have many relatives who live close by as well. It is not unusual for a new patient to know someone from my family. I think patients feel comfortable knowing I have a history in the community.
I am a proud member of the Keene Lions Club, a service organization devoted primarily to eyesight preservation. I have had the honor of directing many of their annual musical productions, which are major fundraisers for their charities. I am passionate about the stage and even take part in productions at our local theater. I also enjoy skiing, hiking and yoga,
